I wonder if you can address something that keeps popping up in my dating life, and that's the subject of red flags.
Every man I meet seems to have something that, if I ignore it and give him a chance, comes back to bite me later. I dated a recently separated man and swore he was ready for a new relationship. It turned out he wasn't. I met another man who told me he'd served time in prison many years prior for possessing a hard drug, but it was in the past. I later learned from a friend that he had a drinking problem and I knew he wasn't sober. Another man revealed early on that, although he'd been happily married, he'd been emotionally abusive to his late wife. I couldn't help but wonder why he brought it up on our second date if it was really in the past.
