In This Episode:
From the Coded Language In Dating Profiles file: What does “open to non-monogamy” mean, and is it a sign of someone looking to cheat or for a hook-up?
Is sociosexuality a thing, and does it determine if you’ll get ghosted after sex?
Why aren’t women getting married anymore?
Here’s the letter we answer in this episode:
I took the plunge and got on a dating app (OkCupid). I’ve noticed some guys list an option “open to either monogamy or non-monogamy” in the profiles. Should I take that to mean they really want non-monogamy but put monogamy as well to get more matches? I view it like how guys will put looking for hookups as well as long/short term relationships so they have more options but not really being honest with what they want.
