Nugget #1
I don't know what it is but I cannot find good dates like I use to on OLD. My dates have been with a married man who was very interested (I Google his phone number and his wife lived at his address still. He said had been divorced for 5 or so years), the next guy was an ex cop who did not treat me well at the date at all (he stood up and walked out without politely ending things like my previous dates), and the men I have been texting either want to consume all my time (and they won't, so they get upset and ghost) or will text a few things here and there but show no real interest. I use to be able to match with educated men who treated me half way decent on the apps. I don't know what happened. Several years have gone by since I have been on the apps. Is it because I am several years older and not in my 30s?
Nugget #2 - Listener Letter
I moved to the East and met someone else also in Bumble. At the time, I was ready to give up and declare f! it I guess it's better to be single forever. That's when I got his message. Couple of messages later I found out that he is divorced with two daughters who are with him full time. Mom is not in the picture - court awarded the kids to him. From the get go I was reluctant because I haven't been in a relationship for a long time and adding kids in the mix may be tricky for me. Anyway, we met and hit it off. He was very intentional and clear that he wanted a committed relationship - music to my ears lol. After a month of dating, I decided to give it a go. Then problems start pouring in haha…
Nugget #3 - Profile Review
This man posted his profile on the Hinge App sub on Reddit looking for feedback. I really liked this guy’s profile. Unfortunately, there’s one very glaring ick.
