Was seeing a guy who was cheated on a few years ago and he said he wanted a relationship. He asked if I was on any dating apps, i said “no” because I deleted the apps, but my profiles were up. He then mentions seeing me on tinder through his friend’s account and breaks things off cold turkey. Was I in the wrong or is this a reflection of his need of healing from that last relationship?
You were not wrong. I have no doubt these dating apps have caused a lot of damage to relationships because they don’t allow people to delete their profile entirely from the app. Those profiles can stay up for upwards of 1-2 months after the app has been deleted.
Whether it was your Tinder profile or doing a deep dive through your text messages, this guy was going to find something to use against you to prove you weren’t trustworthy.
